About Park House Hotel

Park House Hotel enables disabled guests and their carers and/or companions, to have a holiday in the Norfolk countryside together. By providing as little or as much help as is required, Park House aims to give everyone a choice. The country house hotel has been specially adapted for people with disabilities, travelling with or without their carers or companions. The hotel is able to accommodate and care for a variety of disabilities and requirements. All public areas and 16 main hotel bedrooms are wheelchair accessible.

*Occasional hours available – including early shifts, late shifts, night shifts and weekends – with the possibility of an offer of contracted hours later on.

About the role

You will be responsible and accountable for providing the highest standards of nursing, clinical and personal support, while promoting independence and choice to our customers. You will directly lead and supervise a team of support staff to ensure the smooth and efficient management of the shift, assessing, prioritising, planning, delegating and monitoring work activities of the support team.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • To be a registered nurse, holding current registration with NMC.
  • Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of nursing theory and best practice at the level of a qualified nurse (level 5), being able to demonstrate effective nursing practice in all basic registered nurse procedures.
  • Experience of providing direct personal and social support (experience of working with people who have physical and/or learning disabilities would be advantageous).
  • To be able to work flexibly within rostered hours and participate in the on-call rota as required.
  • To demonstrate a commitment to Leonard Cheshire Disability’s ethos and values.

Bank & Occasional hours

Park House Hotel, Sandringham is an award winning holiday & short break destination for disabled people, their carer, families and friends.

We require well-motivated Nurses to join our day/night teams.

The role of Registered Nurse is to give a high quality service to the guests & to ensure their needs and requirements are met.  You will be responsible for managing/planning and organising your shift. You will work with the Care Team as well as with other departments within the Hotel.

The post-holder must be a Registered Nurse, with experience of working with different agencies and professionals and assisting with staff supervisions as required.

You must hold a current NMC Registration

Due to the location of the hotel driving is an advantage

Hotel and care service

We are unique, as a country house hotel catering for disabled people.  Our guests can come independently knowing that there is help available should they need it or they can use our own in house team of experienced care staff for a holiday/respite stay.

Main duties include

The post holder will provide individual care and support for the guests, in line with their needs and requirements as indicated in their care plan. Candidates will need to have flexibility due to the nature of the business. This could involve an extra short shift in the morning or evening depending on the hotel’s occupancy.

The post holder will work under direction of the Nurse/Team Leader and work as part of the Care Team as well as with other departments in the Hotel.

The post holder will encourage the guest to maintain independence to ensure that a successful holiday is taken at Park House.

Being passionate about helping people is a prerequisite of the role

Due to the location of the hotel, driving would be an advantage.
